OUR BUYING PROCESS

Since launching in 2012, ANINE BING adheres to a tight and accurate buying process to avoid overproduction and minimize material waste. We follow a strict "test and reorder" method to ensure manufacturing efficiencies, product quality, and performance before investing deeper into new styles.

There is always work to be done, and we are frequently optimizing our processes to adopt a more circular approach. ANINE BING practices fabric sharing to utilize excess materials and reduce textile waste.

PACKAGING

Currently, 41% of ANINE BING packaging is made from sustainable or recycled materials.

Annually, we prevent 246 kg of green gas emissions and save 34,500 kW of total energy by shipping eCommerce orders in black poly mailers created from recycled nylon. Additionally, 1,050 trees are saved per year with the use of recycled cartons.

In 2021, we introduced biodegradable plastic poly bags made with d2w® that are fully recyclable and decompose naturally, leaving only carbon dioxide, water, and biomass behind if the packaging is littered or composted.

CERTIFICATIONS

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified Cotton -- We are proudly GOTS Certified, using only 100% organic cotton for all ANINE BING graphic tees and select sweatshirts since 2019.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® -- This certification ensures that chemicals used throughout the production process of ANINE BING's silks, ponte, and vegan-leather fabrications are not harmful to the health of our customers.

ANINE BING X DRESS FOR SUCCESS®

Dress for Success® is a global nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, access to a work-appropriate wardrobe, and tools needed to help women thrive.

On a mission to improve the circularity of our garments, ANINE BING proudly donates apparel and accessories to Dress for Success® on a seasonal basis since launching our long-term partnership in 2020. We encourage our employees to donate their time and own gently used garments to provide Dress for Success®’s network of women with professional attire required for job interviews and employment.
